Seyyedvahid Mortazavian recently graduated with a PhD in from the MIME department. Two of his papers are among the most downloaded papers of the International Journal of Fatigue, a prominent journal with high impact in the fatigue area. Dr. Mohammad Elahinia, professor of mechanical engineering, has achieved the distinction of Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
The COE's Team SUAVE (Smart Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for Exploration) won first place in the 2015 Autonomous Aerial Vehicle Competition (AAVC) for the SECOND consecutive year! The competition took place on April 28-29 in Dayton, OH. Grad and undergrad students worked under the supervision of Dr. Manish Kumar.
