Admission to Graduate Program
Admission and financial assistance decisions are made on an individual basis. For students whose education does not include a degree in the United States or Canada, satisfactory GRE (verbal and quantitative aptitude scores) are required. The TOEFL is required for students from countries in which English is not the primary spoken language. If you apply and are admitted, you will be considered for financial support. These awards are made on a competitive basis. We notify you in writing of any assistance granted, therefore, you do not need to contact the department regarding financial assistance.
All graduate applications must be submitted to the University of Toledo Graduate School. Once your application is complete (with necessary GRE, TOEFL scores and transcripts), your application will be forwarded to the MIME Department for review. We will begin the review process for the academic year some time in February of the preceding academic year. For information concerning the status of your application, check your status online here.
We encourage you to apply today. To act on your application for admission, we will need to have the following
- A completed application form (including the statement of purpose)
- The $45 application fee
- Transcripts (official and two copies) from all universities attended
- Letters of recommendation from three references
- GRE and TOEFL scores as indicated
